Meet Dianne - On Healthcare

Oklahoma is in a major healthcare crisis. For some, quality care is out of reach because they can’t afford it. Most families in Oklahoma are just one serious illness away from bankruptcy. While running my husband's medical practice, I have seen firsthand the strain that massive medical bills have placed on families in Oklahoma.  To continue to turn our backs on hard working people and force them to make a choice between heating their home or healing their children does not reflect the values of Oklahomans.

I believe that every child needs to have quality healthcare coverage. Kids don't get to choose their parents, so why should they be punished because of their coverage or lack of it. I think it's time we stopped talking about fixing healthcare and actually do it.

It's time we put politics aside, and focus on providing better healthcare for all Oklahomans. As your State Representative, I will work to…

• Expand access to healthcare for all Oklahomans
• Control the cost of health care, including prescription medication, by focusing on preventive care and eliminating expensive waste
• Protect access to medical care for our senior citizens
• Improve the quality of service by promoting evidence base health care
• Keeping medical decisions between the patient and physician - not the insurance companies
